my first poem: “at 38…”
At 18 i was angry.
At 21 i was dumb and drunk most of the time.
At 28 i thought i was suppose to be married and have kids.
At 30 i made my first million…then…i let my guard down.
At 35 i was supposed to be retired, instead, i lost focus and was humbled.
At 38 a tech icon passed away yesterday teaching me that “innovation” is the key to success in the 21st century.
Now at 38 i realize i’m still a student with much to learn and experience.
Now at 38 i have eliminated all the negativity in my life.
Now at 38 i’m closer to my family than i’ve ever been.
Now at 38 i’m in the best shape in my life.
Now at 38 i have learned to “NOT” repeat the same mistakes, and to spot them before it happens.
Now at 38 my mind is clear and I control my environment.
Now at 38 i embrace change.
At 38 my life is just beginning…
