My Micro Blog

These are random thoughts and observations from my every day life, travels, experiencing other cultures, running two companies...the many life lessons, and my continual journey in creating a "minimalistic lifestyle."

…Yes, I will be hosting the Feb 4th Fiji episode, with two more new episodes airing in the near future. The last Fiji episode on “Koro Island” was hosted by the President of my company, “Dean Studebaker.” I was on the shoot but was a complete “slug.” There’s something magical about this island, everyone in the crew had the most vivid dreams we’ve ever had. While they were shooting the show, I went on nature hikes, snorkeled, kayaked to the sand bar, frequently, I would sit at the resort staring out into the water for hours…time just flew by - it was kind of strange. I just didn’t want to do anything, I was completely relaxed, my brain just kinda shut down:) If I wanted something sweet I would pick fresh fruit on the property like passion fruit, coconuts, guava’s and papaya’s. We didn’t have access to TV, Internet or telephone, instead we entertained ourselves with great conversations discussing every topic from politics to off the wall subjects like, “…if you were a hot chick, would you work?” That was a funny one. Every night we drank Kava and sang with the local villagers. Everything the crew and I experienced on Koro Island was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. Once we left the island the dreams instantaneously stopped, this mysterious island has an energy that cannot be explained…
