My Micro Blog

These are random thoughts and observations from my every day life, travels, experiencing other cultures, running two companies...the many life lessons, and my continual journey in creating a "minimalistic lifestyle."

multi-million/billion dollar ideas: solve for “X”

=>  multi-million/billion dollar ideas:  solve for “X”
-  social media marketing for all businesses is increasing by 75% - and growing!  create a software for business owners that will help them track ROI on all their SMM (Social Media Marketing) campaigns.  there are very few tools out there.
-  by 2030, 40% of Americans will be overweight.  create the next P90X, Jenny Craig, Sensa…make it cheaper and faster!
-  Apps are the future and we’ve just scratched the surface.  create a software that will allow any consumer (with no coding experience) the ability to create a first class app!
-  ebooks are also the future!  create a better means to create and distribute ebooks…and pay a higher commission than Amazon, Apple, and Barnes & Noble.
-  find the next “superfruit!”  bottle it or make it into a pill…then, have Costco sell it!
-  create the next wrinkle cream.  the Babyboomers are already old, and the Gen X’ers are getting old - they will buy it!
-  create little studios across major malls, Walmarts, and Targets throughout the nation.  these studios will focus on helping anyone that wants to create their own micro tv show (with a higher production value) for youtube, vimeo…  studio time will be cheap, and will have in-house directors and writers.  producing “higher-end” micro videos are the future.  youtube spent $200M for professionally produced content…new shows rolling out at the end of summer.
=>  create any of the above and put me as one of your board of directors…with a shit load of stock;)

Asian culture - stuff you may or may not know:

Asian culture - stuff you may or may not know:
-  China discovered America in 1421 a century before Magellan and Columbus…still being debated.
-  eating rice or noodles every meal is the norm.  rice and soy sauce goes with everything!
-  we like to finish our meals with soup.  not considered a starter.
-  we don’t eat cheese.  many Asians dislike the smell.  not many cows in most Asian countries.
-  hot beverage of choice is some sort of tea.  we consider it more civilized than coffee.
-  we excel in math:)
-  we do not excel in American football or basketball.
-  Bruce Lee is the hero for many young Asian men.
-  #1 goal when we’re young - get straight “A’s”
-  #1 goal when we’re out of school - make a shit load of money…and take care of our parents.
-  would love to be a professional student.  we love to learn!
-  we think California rolls, PF Changs, and Panda Express are disgusting!  but, we will eat it if it’s the only Asian option.
-  we always want to know how much you paid for stuff…”how much you pay!”
-  if we color our hair it usually comes out “orangey.”
-  Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Mercedes, and Panerai are the brands of choice.
-  we do not put our parents into homes, they move back home with their children during their senior years.
-  very well traveled.
-  prefer to work for ourselves than for others.
-  we are bad drivers!
-  we always look young, but when we reach 80 - we look like we’re 200;)
-  Asians love to gamble!
-  when we drink alcohol we get the “Asian Frush.”
-  we can be extremely rude, but when you get to know us we’re extremely hospitable.  Japanese are the exception.
-  food is one of the most important parts of our culture.
-  we are not cheap - just frugal.  we love to save!
-  we are loud talkers because we love to interrupt each other, so we have to talk louder to be heard;)  Japanese are the exception.
-  China is one of the cradles of the modern human race.  dating back 67,000 yrs ago.
-  we are extremely impatient.  Japanese are the exception.
-  you turn 1 when you’re born.
-  if you do not marry by the time you’re 30-35, most family members will think you’re gay.
-  the Chinese are the masters of “replicating.”  in a few years you will see Chinese versions of French and Italian wines…not that they will be any good;)
-  arrange marriages still happen today.
-  there is a certain “hierarchy” among the Asian race.
-  we are extremely adaptable.  there are more Asian homesteaders/business owners in more parts of the world than any other race.
-  if the Moon was habitable…we would be up there setting up a manufacturing plant, restaurant, and convenience stores.
i urge you to visit an Asian country - it’s an experience you’ll never forget!

what have i done to reduce my “footprint” on Earth?

after watching a documentary about what plastic water bottles are doing…i stopped buying them - it’s been over a year.  i remember an older gentleman in his 80’s a few yrs back, he saw i had two cases of water in my shopping cart, he turns to me and said, “i’m in my 80’s - been drinking water from the tap all my life, and i’m living proof that it’s ok.”  i buy cleaning products that are biodegradable, all my light bulbs are low energy LED’s, my next two cars are going to be eco-friendly. i don’t consume as much - so i don’t waste as much.
